The USB PD Decoy Module tricks a USB PD power supply into output voltages of up to 20V. It simulates a fast-charging-capable device on a USB fast charger and hands out a selectable voltage of 5V to 20V with the full current that the charger can deliver.
DIP switches on the module allow the selection of the output voltage 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, and 20V. Of course, the USB PD Decoy Module can only output the voltage that the USB charger supplies. It only tricks the USB power supply into putting out the selected voltage. It is not a DC-DC converter!
DIP switch settings:
| SW1 | SW2 | SW3 | Output Voltage |
| OFF | ON | ON | 5V |
| ON | ON | ON | 9V |
| ON | ON | OFF | 12V |
| ON | OFF | OFF | 15V |
| ON | OFF | ON | 20V |
Some PD power supplies might not support all 5 voltages and deliver an unexpected voltage level. Always measure the output voltage before you connect a circuit!
The module is compatible with multiple fast charging protocols like PD2.0 and 3.0.
