Add up to 48 touch sensor keys with the MPR121 Capacitive Touch Sensor to your next microcontroller project using this easy-to-use 12-channel capacitive touch sensor breakout board. It connects to almost any microcontroller via I2C and allows up to 4 different addresses, making it possible to run 4 boards on the same I2C bus.

A touchpad can be any small conductive object, such as a coin or a piece of copper foil, connected to one of the touch input pins.

The I2C address is set to 0x5A by default but can be changed by opening the ADD jumper on the back of the module and connecting the ADD pin to one of the other 3 address setting pads.

Please note that the MPR121 Capacitive Touch Sensor is a 3.3V device. The power supply and logic level must be between 2.5V and 3.6V.

Easy-to-use libraries for Arduino and other platforms are available online (for example on GitHub).
