Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32C5 is powered by the ESP32-C5HR8 SoC, a modern 32-bit RISC-V microcontroller running at up to 240 MHz. It combines 384 KB on-chip SRAM, 320 KB ROM, 8 MB PSRAM, and 8 MB Flash, providing much more memory headroom than earlier compact ESP32-C series modules.
XIAO ESP32C5 is the first XIAO module with dual-band WiFi 6 support, operating on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks. This makes it a strong choice for IoT applications where the 2.4 GHz band is crowded or where more reliable wireless performance is required. In addition to dual-band WiFi 6, it also supports Bluetooth 5 LE and IEEE 802.15.4 connectivity for Zigbee and Thread applications, making it suitable for modern smart-home, Matter, gateway, sensor, and wireless control projects.
The module keeps the familiar compact XIAO form factor with USB-C, 11 GPIO pins, I2C, UART, SPI, PWM support, analog inputs, onboard Reset and Boot buttons, user and charge LEDs, and battery charging support. An external antenna is included for improved wireless performance.
This module can power our CANABLOX® development system (CX-XIAO-S or CX-XIAO-MH adapter board is required) or can be added to our CANADUINO® PLC-300 V2 Programmable Logic Controller DIY kit to provide extended functionality like wireless communication.
