Great experience buying from here. This is the official NodeMCU v1.0/V2 board with the ESP-12E unlike the random unofficial cheap boards on eBay which I’ve had issues with. And the price is pretty much on par with eBay. So it’s a no-brainer to get it from Universal Solder when the shipping is within a week.

I have about 6 of these. For programming, I use the Arduino IDE (nodeMCU 1.0 ESP-12E module), microPython, and ESPHome, all successful. Unlike some boards, there is no need to press the reset button after uploading code. The WiFi has surprising range — I have one mounted on my back fence as a weather station, at least 20 meters from the AP. A lot cheaper than an Arduino, and with WiFi.
