Wemos D1 Mini V3.0.0 ESP8266 WiFi with MicroPython Firmware
This WEMOS D1 Mini V3 ESP8266 WiFi-enabled 32 bit microcontroller development boards come with a MicroPython interpreter installed, 4MB Flash Memory, and 80MHz (max. 160MHz) clock speed. ESP8266 based development boards are the perfect core for your Internet Of Things project or tiny web server.
This D1 Mini compatible, very popular 2.4GHz WiFi module (802.11b/g/n) is almost 10 times faster than an Arduino UNO and comes with plenty of memory. The header can be used to attach other WeMos D1 form factor compatible shields.
Since the ESP8266 draws a quite high current when booting and starting WiFi it is necessary that you have a stable and powerful enough power supply, like a battery pack for example, and keep the wires short. Some USB ports are not capable enough to provide enough juice!
The D1 Mini is a WiFi capable ESP8266 based development board, and it is compatible with MicroPython. D1 Mini features 11 GPIO pins (input/output/PWM/IC), thereof 1 UART (RX/TX) for serial communication and 1 additional analog input. Please pay attention when you connect another active periphery to the I/O pins because this is a 3.3V logic level device and higher levels on any pin will destroy it. The max. input voltage for the analog pin is 3.2V.
Attention: This is a 3.3V logic level device!

NOTE: If you bought these modules from us and you can’t see the WiFi access point after powering it up, please check the version of your circuit board on the pictures in the gallery. There is one version without a ground plane on the bottom side that can have WiFi issues. For a replacement, please get in touch with our customer support.
