Description
Electronic Piano DIY Soldering Kit with Demo Songs is a very easy beginner kit. After assembling it, it will play different demo songs by pressing the mode button [8], or you can use buttons [1] to [7] like a piano.
Begin with the lowest profile parts, which are the resistors. Then proceed with the next taller parts. Make sure you have the electrolytic capacitors, the LED and the IC assembled in the right direction (polarity). Look at the pictures to see how some of the parts are assembled underneath the IC.
Finally, attach the wires to the speaker and the PCB, and plug the USB power cable in.
This is really more a soldering practice kit than a musical instrument. Don’t expect too much of its sound.

This was a fun project. Quality is quite good, not like the old one on ebay that fell apart when you tried to solder. The button pins orient on the sides when installed not front and back. Pins 1-7 play notes and pin 8 has a surprise. Kids around 12 years old could solder this. There are components under the big IC so be sure to solder those in before putting in the IC chip. The capacitor needs to lay flat so the ic chip will fit. No coding required, plug in battery I used 9v, push the power button and have fun.
