This easy to use Bluetooth module comes with the Texas Instruments CC2541 chip, containing a High-Performance and Low-Power 8051 micro controller core, and 256kB in-system programmable flash memory.
The breakout board makes the pins for easy serial communication accessible, and enables every electronics beginner to establish a Bluetooth connection for example between a smart phone and an micro controller project like Arduino.
