Description
FT232 USB to UART Serial Interface Adapter. This Adapter connects for example ESP32-CAM Modules, Arduino Pro Mini or any other 3.3V or 5V device with TTL-Level Rx/Tx interface to a host computer for programming, monitoring and data transfer.
This Chip on this module is compatible with FTDI FT232 RL and works with current drivers for example for Windows.
Note: These compatible Chips do not have unique chip IDs like the chips from FTDI. All chips of one manufacturer share the same chip ID.

Built in jumper switch allows use of either 3.3v or 5v signal level. FTDI chipset means drivers come pre-loaded in pretty much all operating systems. Vendor shipped quickly & this worked perfectly for what I needed it to do.

Does it’s job wonderfully. Just remember this one thing and it may save you hours of despair.. The Tx of this device goes to the Rx of the device being written. Don’t listen to some of those tutorials that say… otherwise. Even if the tutor teaches at a college (and should know better). And, maybe, try Nick Gammon’s github repository for the good stuff that only uses 500K for the bootloader. Happy burning!

Great well made product. Works perfectly. One little downside is that it ships with a jumper set to 5v and not the other option of 3.3v which would be a safer default. If you don’t catch this you could end up using 5v on a 3.3v device which would potentially destroy the device.
